Foreword

2020 was an important year for Adaptive Vision. With the release of the 5.0 version, introducing many groundbreaking features, we have set a new standard for the machine vision market. This year we are planning to raise the bar even further and take our software to the next level!

Deep Learning OCR is coming!

Have you ever had a machine vision project where you had to deal with a really challenging character recognition? Complex non-uniform backgrounds, blurred characters as well as reflective metal surfaces in many cases may render traditional OCR techniques useless.

We are now giving you the solution to these problems by introducing our new Deep Learning OCR tool in the 5.1 version of our software.

It is able to achieve a stunning ~97% accuracy straight out of the box (before additional training), even when dealing with really difficult cases. To achieve 100% accuracy you'll just need to fine-tune our pre-trained model using a set of sample images specific to your project.
