Assignment of the image data to the object using coding.
On a production line, a 16-bit code is transmitted with the trigger signal during image acquisition and written into the image data. If the product is faulty, it is ejected at the end of the machine. The associated inspection image can be clearly assigned to the rejected product through the coding. This helps with the analysis and optimization of the inspection system and reduces rejects due to incorrectly set inspection systems. Synchronizations such as a time stamp or internal recording counter for each camera are no longer necessary, especially if there are several recording locations. False triggers, e.g. due to false triggering of the light barriers, are irrelevant. Without additional hardware. The code is processed directly after the trigger with the same signal input and written to the image as chunk data. #machinevision#embeddedsystems#fpga#computervision
