Foreword

Since its beginnings in 2007, our company has come a long way, straight to the point that Adaptive Vision is currently the most comprehensive software company on the machine vision market—offering not only a wide range of products from low-level libraries to high-level development environment but also a modern on-line dataset management services.

In this newsletter we would like to highlight three new things related to three different products from our portfolio, reflecting our continuous efforts to help different types of companies in the machine vision market to develop their solutions easier and faster as well as provide them with the widest range of tools possible.

Secure images with end-to-end encryption

Zillin - On-Line Image Dataset Management & Annotation Tool

When we recommended you to move your images to the cloud, some of you were concerned that the cloud environment may not be a good fit for images covered by an NDA. Today, however, we have a perfect solution for this - our dataset management service, Zillin.io, has received a very strong end-to-end encryption. Before leaving your computer, any images that you upload into Zillin are encrypted using the AES-256 algorithm and only people who you give the encryption key to can open them.

Public API for WEAVER

The long awaited public API for WEAVER inference engine is here, ready for download! If you develop your own neural network architectures using TensorFlow and Keras, you can now use WEAVER to move your solution to the runtime environment based on C/C++ API and with 3-10 times better execution time on both GPU and CPU.

Extended formulas

We are working more and more on extending advanced capabilities of formulas in Adaptive Vision Studio. The goal is that your programs should consist only of high-level tools supplemented with Excel-like formulas. No auxiliary filters, no textual programming. With the most recent release you can find extended capabilities in creating and manipulating your arrays, for example:

You can create in-line arrays like {1, 2, 3}.
You can join arrays with join function.
You can also create and manipulate arrays with several more advanced functions like: sequence, pick, rotate, trimStart, trimEnd.
